I use SQL Server 2000 for several data mining projects. Last week, I bougth a new machine. My previous machine runs Windows XP, but the new one runs Windows Vista.

In order to continue my data mining projects, I've managed to install SQL Server 2000 on the new machine. I was surprised by a warning message from Vista saying SQL Server 2000 is not compatible with Vista. I googled the web looking for some advice and decided to go on with the install, ignoring the warning message. Eventually, I successfully installed SQL Server 2000.

I've been working with this new system for several days, and now I can confirm SQL Server 2000 works without a hitch under Vista. Don't hesitate to migrate!
